Our philosophy
You should understand your behavior — not surrender your data.
This is not a black box.
This is a mirror.
We don’t exist to control you, track you across the internet, or sell your data.
We exist to help you see what you’re already doing — more clearly.
What we collect
When you use Leptir, we store only what is necessary to make the product work:
- Meals you log (text and optional images)
- Workouts you log
- Weight entries (if you choose to track them)
- AI-generated estimates (macros, scores, assumptions)
- Your Telegram username / ID (for communication)
That’s it.
We do not collect unrelated personal data.
How your data is used
To show you transparent readouts and patterns.
- Interpretation estimates nutrition where you did not state it explicitly
- We store your history so you can see continuity over time
- We use your data only to operate Leptir for you — not for ads
We do not use your data for advertising.
AI & assumptions
- Some values are estimates
- Some assumptions are made (ingredients, portions)
You can always edit your logs.
You are never locked into an AI result.
You are the source of truth — not the AI.
Where your data lives
Your data is stored securely in a database (e.g., Supabase/PostgreSQL).
- Secure infrastructure
- Controlled access
- Separation between environments
No system is perfect, but we handle your data responsibly.
What we don’t do
- We do not sell your data
- We do not share your data for marketing
- We do not track you outside Leptir
- We do not build hidden profiles
Your control
- You can edit your logs anytime
- You can stop using anytime
- You can request deletion
Also available:
- Data export as a ZIP of separate CSV files (meals, workouts, weight); signed in:
/api/export/csvor Export ZIP on your profile - More granular controls (planned)
Security mindset
- Keep systems simple
- Avoid unnecessary data collection
- Limit exposure
- Build in public, improve continuously
